the middle class.
I don’t get much snail mail. I get netflix dvds, I get my check from work, and I get my loan payment bills. See when I went to college the way I payed for it was through loans. Well this month something odd struck me when reading my loan bill, my current balance (of what I have to pay) is more than it was last month. Well that’s backwards that doesn’t make sense. Then I saw it on the bill, late fee charge. Because I have no money or real job I only pay the minimum, which is 85 dollars a month but when you are late on a payment the extra fee is 50 dollars. So if you don’t give them their 85 dollars on time it’ll cost you 50 dollars, which is more than half the payment. So my current balance goes up instead of down. The thing about owing money to a loan company is it’s a lot like being kidnapped. You’re kidnapper tells you if you blow him he’ll let you go, but you know he won’t, you’re going to have to blow him for the rest of your life. Such is owing money, people in their 20s are in tremendous debt these days and it seems like there is no way out. The middle class is a sinking ship, the writing is on the wall, they want us out.
