BOW TO THE DOLLAR!!!
STOP YOUR SHIT! Do not... DO NOT talk to me about our country's deficit! I know, I know, I'm an asshole, but let me ask you a series of questions:
How many people, who drive and have access to a car, have cut down on their driving because of rising gas prices? I'm talking about you people out there, that need to go to the store that's just around the corner for bread or something, but instead of walking, you hop in your car because it's too hot?
How many?
Next...
How many people who drank Starbucks coffee, before our little war on terrorism and our deficit, have cut down? You pass one on every corner. We were not in a deficit before... Do you indulge in your $5 cup of coffee any less? Note: Dunkin Doughnuts coffee 3 times a day is no cheaper.

Who out there does not have an iPod or iPhone?
Go out do some research. For you lazy people out there I'll do it for you...
What I have found is that Starbucks in April of 2000 had a net income of $58 million. In December 2007, they had a net income of $205 million. Apple in January 2000 had a net income of $183 million. In March 2008......::Drumroll::............Had a net income.......::Drumroll::........$2,626 million.
Now, shut your mouth!
Send your questions about the mysteries of life, philosophy and anything else on your mind that might seem simple but oh so complicated:

drinking starbucks coffee and gas usage by the average american have absolutely nothing to do with the deficit...borrowing money from foreign governments (for example china) to pay for an out of control military budget and cutting taxes for the richest 1% of americans, however, has quite an impact on our deficit...i'm not really sure why you think saving money by not purchasing an ipod will improve our situation...it won't...the deficit is a function of governmental spending, not consumer spending...so unless you found some declassified documents that prove uncle sam is driving to starbucks and splurging on carmel frappucinos while cranking up the itunes on apple's latest marketing gimmick, i just don't get what you're getting at.
Love you immensely though!
I understand that. But the idea of saving money comes from everyone else. People think that the deficit we are in is spinning us into another depression. We are not going into a depression and our spending habits are backing that point up. Thats what I'm getting at.
1- China bought our debt from all the other countries.
2- our spending on starbucks and gas is putting more money in the "upper 1%"
3- anytime a major corporation makes that much money and kids are starving should set off alarms
4- 5 years after the middle class is depleted in ANY civilization, a revolution ensued
5- spending money on luxury items (ipods, starbucks, gasoline) helps deplete the middle class.
6- ride a bike, get coffee at the deli, stream music of pandora, cut up your credit cards.
CRALO IS JERICHO
I agree but at the same time don't. BC i think we all are programmed to buy shit and when the country is doing bad we buy more stupid shit. Like people buy more coffee and spend bullshit on wii and ps3 bc people cant buy houses or cars and anything real
