Before this begins, I would like to explain to you all that I NEVER EVER watched a single episode of the television series. I just wasn't interested. Everyone made such a big deal out of this show, I wanted to know what I was missing. Last week, I attended the Sex and the City premiere because I won free tickets off our local radio station Z100 (www.z100.com). I figured, what the hell. Here is my take on the movie:

So Carrie and Big finally got together right? It picks up right where the two of them left off at the end of the show. They decide to get an apartment together. While looking around they fall in love with one that was way over their price budget. Big 'buys' the place for the two of them.

What are you stupid Carrie? Let the man put only his name on the lease. What happens if it doesn't work out for the two of you? You are out on the street you stupid idiot! Instead of a 'diamond' she tells Big to build her a closet in there new home. Surprisingly, he stands her up on their wedding day. Did you expect anything else? The entire season of this show was the trials and tribulations of the two of them trying to get together, why wouldn't they write in a problem like that? At the end of the movie, they get together and get married in City Hall (isn't that cute).

What the hell is this on her head? I know Carrie Bradshaw is suppose to be this outrageous character with funny outfits, but this goes way over board. Hunny, there is a bird on your head, no wonder why he doesn't get out of the limo!

Ok so the show left off with Charlotte trying to adopt a baby because she and her husband Harry are unable to have a baby together. She cannot get pregnant. Well guess what ladies, she gets pregnant! They needed to write something in the bring Big and Carrie together at the end. A few days before she is due, she runs into Big at a restaurant. During the yelling and screaming at him for what he did to her friend, her water breaks. Big drives her to the hospital where he explains to Harry that he misses Carrie and writes her emails everyday.

Carrie doesn't get these emails because her new assistant Louise was told to block all contact with Big and has them sent to a spam folder. Good job Louise. Jennifer Hudson I think played her character very well. A girl who moved to New York City looking for love.

Speaking of love, Miranda's love was betrayed after her husband Brady admits that he cheated on her and had sex with another woman. Well maybe if you didn't have sex with your husband every 6 months Mrs. Lawyer, he wouldn't have cheated on you!

Also on the topic of love, Samantha's love for sex brings her another problem in this movie. She is attracted to her young sexy neighbor who has a different female partner or partners every single night. She misses the single life and moves back to New York to sleep around at age 50. Settle down woman!

So the movie is totally a chick flick. If you never watched the series, don't bother. You won't appreciate it as much as if you watched the series every single week.
