In chronological order, I present you with the most unholy list of films ever: Sequels to Jim Carrey movies that don't star Jim Carrey.

Dumb and Dumberer(2003)

I have to admit, they found two people who actually look exactly like a young Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels--and that's where the praise ends for me. You know you have a bad movie when the most memorable part of it involves Bob Saget doing a shit-joke. Also, note the top of the DVD case above where it says "New Line Platinum Series". There's no joke here; only sadness.

Son of the Mask(2005)

After the botched-abortion that was Dumb and Dumberer, you would think that New Line Cinema would say no to a Mask sequel. You, my friend, would be wrong. The fact that the headlining name on the marquee was Jamie Kennedy, the second-lead was Alan Cumming, and a baby as the third-lead ensured that from the time the trailer first hit the web you could see the veritable shit hitting the fan at 120mph. Note on the poster: "From the director of 'Cats and Dogs'." Again, no joke; just a part of my childhood slowly dying inside.

Evan Almighty(2007)

Alright. By now the studios had to know that this would be a bad idea. Wait, what? This movie made over $30,000,000 it's opening weekend? There is no God.

Ace Ventura Jr.(2008)

No! No! No! This can't be happening. Later this year "Ace Ventura Jr." will be released in theaters across the country. The plot will revolve around Ace's son going off on an adventure to save his mother from wildlife poachers. Why was she captured by poachers? When did Ace Ventura Sr. have a son? Who's the asshole over at New Line Cinema that needs to pay off a mortgage? So many questions, so little enthusiasm.
