Every couple of months I will highlight some of my favorite Youtube videos that demand that you view and support them. I call this Vin's F*****g Uncensored Youtube Awards. All of the videos, in their respective order, can be seen by clicking on that video's title.
Best video by a rising improv or stand-up comic: "Bulldog"
This side-splittingly funny short film was created by Upright Citizens Brigade student Casey Jost. It is a short documentary about an intimate afternoon with a local neighborhood bully named Bulldog.
Best live performance: "The Vines on Letterman"
Apparently, the lead singer for The Vines has aspergers and couldn't control his mental state that night. Also, a steady diet of heroin might have been to blame as well. In any case, he goes fucking crazy, his guitar goes out of tune, and he almost kills the drummer. What more could you ask for?
Best retro junk: "Gene Gene the dancing machine"
For those of us too young to remember, Gene Gene the dancing machine was a 280lbs black man who would appear on the 1970's game show "The Gong Show". He would appear, dance(poorly, I might add), and leave to a roar of cheers from the crowd. Now you folks at home can experience the magic of Gene for yourselves.
Best video about race-relations: "Black vs. Mexican"
I, for one, respect the fact that the makers of this video were able to get across the subtle tones and ideas that express and articulate the differences between races; yet at the same time, manifest the concepts that will help to forge together a better tomorrow where we will learn to respect all races. Ah, who am I kidding. It's a Black dude and a Mexican dude beating the shit out of each other. Go nuts, America!
