So here I am, its 7:45 AM and I'm freezing.
Yesterday afternoon I had my heater in explicitly stop working. Don't get me wrong, I went down stairs and fiddled with it for about 10 minutes to see if I could solve the issue. I flipped a few switches and turned a few knobs, but the honest truth is the heater is one of the few 'black box' devices in a home to me.
So that more or less brings me back to the first sentence of this blog again. Its 60 degrees in my house and I'm waiting for keyspan to come and do whatever it is they are going to do that will undoubtedly emasculate me on the spot. I don't like having someone come into my home and show me just how ignorant I am.
My self-esteem aside, I really am looking forward to a nice toasty 71 degrees right now. I discovered years ago that in this particular house that is THE temperature for the thermostat. Not too warm, and not to chill, 71 degrees leaves you not even thinking about the temperature at all which in my opinion is the goal all along.
This however left me wondering... on average, do other people keep their thermostats above or below mine?

CRALO IS JERICHO
I am not sure because the last time I touched the thermostat my father tied me up to tree outside and then beat me with a lead pipe...ever since then I am very afraid of even walking near the thermostat
As a Keyspan water heater/boiler fixer upper guy, 1)I would like to point out that our shifts are 8am to 4:30pm, which means that if we come after that, you should feel damn lucky; 2)There are no switches to flick on a water heater. You probably shut off your boiler. Good job smart guy. 3)Good temperature is 65-70 degrees, with your water heater set to the factory setting, which would heat the water between 120-160 degrees Faranheit. It's the white notch on the knob of the water heater. Finally, we are no longer known as Keyspan. We have been bought by the Fucktards in England who control all of the UK's energy services, National Grid. So have a good day.
